Starting with a picture that will make you HUNGRY
Yum yum yum. Sushi/Japanese food BUFFET! You can order until you can't eat anymore! I was actually quite tame this time! I didn't eat until I wanted to explode, I ate a moderate and respectable amount. hahaha. The sushi is amaaazzinggg though. I like the one shown in the picture with Salmon wrapped around rice with dressing on top. Being a reduced fatass, I took off some from the top to reduce the calorie intake from 999 to 998. Go me!
Mong Kok has a cheap steak place called "Flower Garden Steak House" on Woman Street and another on Soy Street. This rib-eye steak with Borsch soup was only 44HKD!! (About $6USD) Crazy good! Also, when they bring it to you, they say, "Hold up your napkins please." So when they pour sauce on the steaks, the sizzling plate doesn't spray it in your eyes. That would end a delicious dinner really dramatically....
I particularly like the appropriate shape of the sizzling plate.
So, Wednesday afternoon, Alex Lam (a musician from LA) had 2 hours to spare in his afternoon to help me play the guitar part of a song I wrote. The song's title is "One Life to Live" and it's my first complete written song (lyrics and composition by me!) It was a challenge writing the lyrics, but having a handy ipod touch dictionary helps me find the right words. Let me know what you think of the song. Honest opinions, please. I know it's not great, but hopefully it's not bad either....
Where I spend many of my nights and days. I've learned a lot about using music programs like iLogic (thanks to Giedrius!) and the more I record and do, the more comfortable I am working on music! I hope more songs with come to mind as I get better at this. I'll let you guys hear as I write!

JEWELRY TIME~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So I told you guys about the jewelry piece I wanted to do after I saw a woman on the metro with a cool-looking necklace. After I got inspired, I went home and tried to come up with a design. This is the template. It has a black bottom, and as it goes up it greys out and turns to blue at the top. The pieces I bought for this necklace were very shiny.....little did I know...
Sad sad days.... Well. at least I gave it a try. I decided after wearing it and seeing it in the mirror it would look a lot better on a girl, so I'm mailing it to my mom so she can look purrtty in it. What do you guys think of the necklace?
The two necklaces I made to send to my mom. I hope she likes them!!! The one on the left is cheaply made (the material is cheaper) Mom wanted some red bracelets, and I bought her some, so I made a red necklace to accompany. Why red? Well, according to the lunar calendar, my mom (who is a monkey) and I (a tiger) have unlucky years this year so wearing red can help counter and protect against the effects of bad luck.

Shirtless *blush* I need to work more on my pecs and getting leaner. Soon I will have the body of my dreams!! A work in progress. Everyday I drink protein and take GNC burn and toner pills. You might think it's cheating, but I call it "what you have to do." Of course this is added on to going to the gym for 2 hours every day.
My patriotic hoody. I like this picture because I look serious. Yandy said I look different in pics than real life, because I smile more in real life, but in pics I'm always serious-looking. Trying to be sexy.... :(

My brother, Charlie's, favorite. This was shot outside my dance studio, Ones to Watch. They have an alley way in the back that has a bunch of graffiti, and just so happened there was construction going on the day of the shooting, so you can see someone working in the background. I thought my shirt was appropriate for the environment.
Leave you with my favorite picture of the bunch. It's really dramatic, right? haha I made it black and white to make it more mysterious-serious with the dark shadows.

I think the song sounds really good! I don't want to criticize the lyrics too much since I am guessing that the english translation is a bit off from what you really mean, but I would try to keep the tenses straight. for example, your say "When you only get one chance to live/How could you live in fear?" But to me, it would sound better if you said "How CAN you live in fear?" Present tense makes everything seem more active and in the moment. But that's just my opinion! I think it sounds great as it is!
ReplyDeleteI really like the red necklace! Even though it is cheaper materials, I like design and color :). And maybe if you want to make a more masculine necklace you should add more silver into the necklace instead of the light blue? Or I think the problem is that I don't see a lot of guys wearing really long necklaces...just girls :P!
And I Looove your photos! You definitely need to smile more though, there is nothing wrong with appearing to be friendly!
I agree with your bother Charlie's pick. that one is my favorite too. Your outfit works well with the location, as well as your pout, it comes in handy!

ReplyDeleteyour model's photos are actually very nice! you are cool in the photos. as i said, i am working in the fashion industry and closely work with designer. so, i would be easier to notice on whole matching such as color, theme, background, face.. etc.
i hope you haven't read my early comment as it was quite straight forward as i hope you would accept and grow up from any tough comment at that moment.. haha. tough comment can give us something "wake up" in our mind. Hope you would know what i say.
the photo i pretty like that is the one "patriotic hoody". cooooollll pictures.
